The Home Phone

A phone that grows with them.

Go back to when giving your kid a phone didn’t mean giving them the internet. A real handset they carry with them — calls, voicemail, and nothing else. It works anywhere there’s Wi-Fi, and nowhere else.

How it works

Everything you need to give them a phone, not the internet.

The Home Phone is the phone service.
You just need the handset — it joins Wi-Fi and it’s ready.

  1. The Home Phone app open on a phone, resting on a desk

    1Get The Home Phone app

Set up their line, trusted contacts, and quiet hours.

  2. A Grandstream handset in its cradle beside a Wi-Fi router

    2Connect the handset to Wi‑Fi

One device. No adapter, no landline, no SIM card.

  3. A kid talking on the handset at home

3That's it. They have a Home Phone.

They call the people you choose. Nobody else. No browser, no apps, no feed.

The Good Old Days

The moments we miss in the best way.

The Home Phone brings back a little piece of childhood worth holding on to — and it goes where they go.

See what it does
A boy on the handset in his bedroom
Scheduled call with grandma!
A girl holding up a notebook of handwritten friends’ phone numbers
Memorize all your friends’ numbers!!
A girl upside down on the sofa, chatting on the handset
Talking about absolutely nothing
A girl with her backpack on, calling from the front hall
May I please speak to Nicole?

Required Hardware

One handset. That’s the whole kit.

The Home Phone runs on a Grandstream Wi-Fi handset. It joins your network from the app and registers itself, so there is no adapter, no landline, no SIM card, and nothing to wire. It is a phone and only a phone: no web browser, no app store, no feed. Away from Wi-Fi it simply does not connect, which is exactly the point. You buy the handset once.

FAQ

Straight answers before launch.

Is this a mobile calling app?

No. The mobile app is for the account owner. Calls happen on a dedicated Wi-Fi handset with no browser and no app store, so the kid experience stays simple.

What happens when they leave Wi-Fi?

The handset works on Wi-Fi networks it has been set up for, and nothing else. There is no SIM and no mobile data, so between networks it is simply not connected. That limit is the guardrail: the phone reaches you from home, school, or a friend’s house, and is a paperweight everywhere in between.

Can I set trusted contacts and quiet hours?

Yes. The account owner decides who each managed line can call and receive calls from, and can protect bedtime, school, or family time with quiet hours.

Is this just nostalgia?

No. The feeling is nostalgic, but the service is modern: managed lines, trusted contacts, quiet hours, voicemail, wake-up calls, and app-based setup. It is the phone you grew up with, minus the cord and minus the internet.
